Kid Helping Kids
The Adventure Club believes it is important to give back to the community so the “Kids Helping Kids” initiative was originated in 2007. Students and staff participate in a variety of worthwhile endeavors and events to help other kids in need. The ability to touch the lives of children has always been the mission of TAC. For example, TAC participates in NICK’s Lemonade Stand to raise monies for Northwest Indiana Cancer Kids (NICK) to help support children and their families.
Holiday Toy Drive
TAC recognizes holidays are an important time in children’s lives. To spread the holiday joy to at-risk and needy children, TAC collected over 1,000+ toys, which were distributed to local agencies and hospitals.
TAC shared its love for community by supporting Sojourners’ Truth House with a Diaper Drive collecting 4,100+ diapers.
Other initiatives have included Help-a-Hero, Shop with a Cop, Backpack Drive, 5K Run for Honoring Veterans, and Baby Blankets for seriously ill infants.
